When a disaster occurs, MAF responds quickly with air transportation, emergency communications, logistics support, and experienced personnel. Getting the right people to the right place at the right time.
When disaster strikes, MAF are in the air within hours to conduct critical aerial surveys. These survey flights inform the disaster response activities of the government and numerous organisations.
Flights carrying medicine, medical supplies and personnel are carried out in the initial hours and days, as well as countless life-saving emergency medical evacuation flights.
When floods or earthquakes hit, communities are cut off from life essentials like fresh water or food. MAF partner with governments and local organisations to deliver supplies to areas in need.
"Responding to disasters around the world is a key part of MAF’s mission to share God's love through aviation so that isolated people will be physically and spiritually transformed."
We are partnering with the government in flying in health workers, medicines and awareness materials into rural hospitals to help them prepare for the worst.

For over 75 years, MAF has been serving isolated people by using aircraft to bring in the essentials of life as well as medical care, emergency food, and Christian hope.
Our purpose is to deliver practical and spiritual care to people in places of deepest human need. Every five minutes, an MAF plane takes off or lands somewhere in the world. These flights enable crucial work by many aid and development agencies, missions, local churches and other national groups. MAF is serving the Church and communities in remote areas where flying is not a luxury, but a lifeline.

"MAF responds to disasters around the world to bring help, hope and healing through aviation and in Jesus’ name, so that isolated people can be physically and spiritually transformed."
Put simply, the barriers created by natural disasters can be overcome by a MAF flight.
We can provide reliable, timely delivery of emergency supplies and personnel. Food arrives in time to alleviate hunger, emergency medical evacuations save lives, and critical supplies improve living conditions.
MAF aircraft have played critical roles following the Boxing Day Tsunami in Indonesia, the 2010 earthquake in Haiti, the 2015 earthquake in Nepal and the 2021 Cyclone Seroja in Timor-Leste.
MAF communications further facilitate relief programs. Agency and relief efforts are more easily coordinated through MAF technology networks, even when an entire nation has lost electrical power.
With your support, MAF can continue to fly hope into affected areas when disaster occurs.
