The Story
We are the Purdey family working with Mission Aviation Fellowship to bring God’s love in practical ways to those in isolated areas.
Our story with MAF originated with Ian’s passion for serving God through aviation and Adele’s desire to work in cross cultural mission. Soon after being married we went to Bible College and our journey began.
As a family we served with MAF in Arnhem Land for seven years, living and working in remote indigenous communities. Following God’s call, we moved to Madagascar to continue flying in a country where aviation can make a huge difference to the unreached and to those in poverty in remote areas. We have commenced a new role in 2022, now training pilots at MAF’s flight school in Mareeba, Queensland. Please continue to pray with us for the people of Arnhem Land and Madagascar as well as those that are training to serve, thank you.
